Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2018 im Fachbereich BWL - Unternehmensführung, Management, Organisation, Note: 1,5, Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht Berlin, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die ungleichen Karrierechancen von Frauen gegenüber Männern auf dem deutschen Arbeitsmarkt werden immer mehr an die breite Öffentlichkeit getragen und rücken somit ins Bewusstsein der wissenschaftspolitischen Diskussion. Ferner belegen aktuelle empirische Studien, dass in der Praxis immer noch eine stereotypische Unterteilung der Geschlechter vollzogen wird. Frauen verharren deswegen unter der "Gläsernen Decke", und der Aufstieg in die oberste Führungsebene wird so erschwert und/oder verhindert. Die theoretischen Erklärungsansätze der beruflichen Diskriminierung der Frau sind vielfältig und reichen von patriarchalen Organisationsstrukturen bis hin zu verankerten Strukturen und Praktiken (informelle Netzwerke, Geschlechtsstereotypen, männliche Führungskultur) in der Organisationskultur. Bisher ist Gegenstand der empirischen Ursachenforschung bezüglich der geschlechtsspezifischen Ungleichheiten in Organisationen meist der öffentliche und private Sektor. Jedoch stellt der Dritte Sektor mit einem weiblichen Beschäftigungsanteil von über 75 %, im Sozialwesen liegt der Anteil sogar bei 83 %, ein ebenso, wenn nicht sogar noch interessanteres Forschungsfeld dar. Denn auch hier sind Frauen in höheren Positionen verhältnismäßig zum überdurchschnittlich hohen weiblichen Beschäftigungsanteil selten vorzufinden. Wenn man die Ergebnisse des Zentrums für Europäische Geschlechterstudien (ZEUGS-Studie) und des Forschungsprojektes "Frauen in der Abseitsfalle?" (FiA) bezüglich der Geschlechterverhältnisse in Führungspositionen anhand des Dritten Sektors näher betrachtet, so stellt man fest, dass von über 400 befragten Nonprofit-Organisationen nur 37,6 % der Frauen ein Vorstandsamt bekleiden.
