Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2019 im Fachbereich Psychologie - Sozialpsychologie, Note: 1,3, SRH Fernhochschule, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Ziel dieser wissenschaftlichen Arbeit ist es, die Funktionsweise der Beeinflussungsmethode der Furcht induzierenden Kommunikation in einem sozialpsychologischen Kontext zu erläutern und deren Wirksamkeit hinsichtlich der Raucherentwöhnung einzuschätzen. Seit dem Jahr 2007 erleben Raucher in Deutschland vermehrt Reglementierungen und Sanktionen hinsichtlich ihres Tabakkonsums. Gesetze wie das im Jahr 2007 verabschiedete Nichtraucherschutzgesetz und damit einhergehende Rauchverbote in öffentlichen und gastronomischen Einrichtungen reihten sich in wirtschaftliche Einschränkungen wie Steuer- und Preiserhöhungen ein. Diese Maßnahmen führten jedoch nicht wie erwartet zu einer drastischen Abnahme des Nikotinkonsums in Deutschland. Mit dem Inkrafttreten der EU-Tabakrichtlinie im Jahr 2016, sind Hersteller von Tabakprodukten dazu verpflichtet, abschreckende Bilder von nikotingeschädigten Körperteilen und Organen auf Zigarettenverpackungen zu drucken, die mindestens 50% der Verpackung einnehmen. Trotz der expliziten Darstellung der Langzeitfolgen des Tabakkonsums haben sich die Umsatzzahlen zum größten Teil kaum verändert. Zunächst werden im Rahmen der Arbeit die theoretischen Grundlagen von Einstellungen beleuchtet, um sie zu klassifizieren und deren Bedeutsamkeit im menschlichen Verhalten hervorzuheben. Im Kapitel der Einstellungsänderung wird der Begriff der kognitiven Dissonanz und die Wichtigkeit für das Vorhandensein dieser für den Änderungsprozess hervorgehoben. Es werden zentrale Wege der Beeinflussung vorgestellt. Ein Schwerpunkt wird hier auf die furchtinduzierende Kommunikation gelegt. Im Anschluss werden psychologische Widerstandsreaktionen wie Reaktanz und defensive Attributionen beleuchtet, um in die Diskussion mit einfließen zu lassen, wieso die Beeinflussungsversuche durch Warnbilder auf den Zigarettenverpackungen nic
