Sie untersucht, welche Herausforderungen sich schon im Rekrutierungsprozess ergeben und wie die Unternehmen sich bereits in diesem ersten Schritt abheben können. Die Arbeit erläutert zunächst theoretische Grundlagen. Die Begriffe War for Talent und Candidate Experience werden definiert. Dabei wird auch auf Candidate Experience Management eingegangen und die Verbindung von Candidate Experience und Personalmarketing erläutert. Zusätzlich wird in diesem Zusammenhang auch auf digitale Medien eingegangen. Im weiteren Verlauf der Arbeit werden dann die Bedürfnisse von Kandidaten und Unternehmen im Bewerbungsprozess aufgezeigt. Diese werden anhand einer Candidate Journey anschaulich beschrieben. Es wird ebenfalls erklärt, wie sich die Bedürfnisse beider Seiten unterscheiden und welchen Beitrag ein gutes Candidate Experience Management im Rekrutierungsprozess leistet. Abschließend wird dann ein Fazit über die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse gezogen und ein Ausblick für Unternehmen gegeben, wie diese eine gute Candidate Experience nutzen können, um sich einen Wettbewerbsvorteil am Markt zu verschaffen. Der demografische Wandel betrifft Deutschland in Vergleich zu anderen Ländern stark. 2016 prognostizierten Fachleute bereits, dass sich ab 2020 die Anzahl der Erwerbsfähigen um circa 5 %, bis 2040 sogar um circa 11 % verringern kann. Gründe hierfür sind der Rückgang der Geburten in Kombination mit dem Ausscheiden von Fachkräften aus den früheren Geburtenstarken Jahrgängen.1 Die derzeitigen Entwicklungen, sowohl soziokulturell als auch ökonomisch, haben zu einem so genannten War for Talent geführt.
