About the Book

"Can a mother's love withstand society's label for her 'different' son?"

In the dim candlelit room of a quaint apartment on a quiet street, Alex Lior-Rabinovich hesitates at the threshold, her heart a mix of hope and trepidation. She's about to join the Circle of Mothers, a sanctuary where tales of motherhood are shared with a rawness that both heals and haunts.

Alex, a lecturer and mother, carries a secret about her son, Daniel, a young man whose brilliance and kindness are shadowed by society's label of 'different.' As she finds her voice among these women, each story becomes a mirror reflecting her own hidden struggles and silent victories.

Meanwhile, thousands of miles away, on the azure waters of the Indian Ocean, a luxury cruise becomes a floating prison as a pandemic traps passengers in isolation. Among them are David, Daniel's father, and Dalia, his new wife, all caught in a dance of love and independence, and Andrea with Roberto, whose love story is tested by the walls closing in on them. Their lives intertwine in a tapestry of human resilience, each thread revealing the fragility and strength of bonds formed in the face of adversity.

But as Alex delves deeper into her journey of self-discovery and acceptance, she realizes that the tales shared in the Circle of Mothers are more than just stories. They are lifelines, pulling her towards an inevitable crossroads. A revelation waits in the wings, a truth about her son that could unravel the very fabric of her world.

Will Alex embrace the impending storm, or will the tightrope she walks between motherhood and self-acceptance break under the weight of truth?

"Walking a Tightrope" is not just a novel; it's a heartfelt ode to every mother who has navigated the complex waters of raising a child labeled as different. It's a story that reaches out to touch your soul, a reminder that in the intricate dance of motherhood, every step, every stumble, and every leap of faith weaves a tapestry rich with meaning and love.
