About the Book
Typically, when we say that we are taking a "walk," there is no confusion about what actions will ensue. On the other hand, when we throw faith into the mix, a variation of thoughts come to mind. The Walk of Faith-Triumph in Troubled Times is a book of short stories that also contains a few life coaching tools. Together, they enable the reader to Faith Forward. It is in understanding that faith is an action in which we can approach life step-by-step-even if in blood, sweat, or tears-toward confident victory. Faith is about prayer, hope, love, trust, forgiveness, peace, and the joy of a heart turned toward God. Faith is about accepting that grace through Jesus Christ, who paid the price for us, is a free gift to those who believe. This grace, which supports faith, is the power of the Holy Spirit within us to easily do what we by our own strength cannot do. Grace is God's power flowing from heaven's throne toward us, not only to save us with the giving of eternal life, but to enable us to live in close fellowship with Him. Hence, our faith walk brings about an ease that produces rest and contentment from the Word of God, Who promises us His full attention: "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you."-Deuteronomy 31:6, New King James VersionThere are always going to be mountains that we want to move, and there will always be uphill battles that we feel like we're losing. The point is not to measure, or focus on, how fast we get there, or marvel about what's waiting for us on the other side. Our Walk of Faith is all about the journey-the steps of a journey ordered by body, mind, and spirit connections. The faith steps on a journey are the culmination of the people we meet, the things we learn, and the places we go along the way. Triumph in Troubled Times is a reflection of how our faith can work things out...in spite of the circumstances we face. Faith Forward!Gayle
