About the Author: Gil Garcia worked as a post information officer reporter for the Stars and Stripes newspaper while in the military before spending two years in national advertising. After twenty-five years as a restaurant designer, including eight as the owner of his own restaurant design company, Garcia retired to a life of art and writing.
Over the years he has won various honors, including being chosen as the official portrait artist for the 2002/2003 Western Conference Champions Sacramento Kings basketball team, as well as having his art chosen to hang at the California State Fair.
