Akademische Arbeit aus dem Jahr 2003 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Allgemein, Note: 1,0, Universität Lüneburg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die große historische und gegenwärtige Bedeutung des Waldes für den Menschen, sein Bildungsgehalt, aber auch das wachsende Interesse am Wald seit den 80er Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts mit dem Auftreten erster Anzeichen von Neuartigen Waldschäden, haben am Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts zum Entstehen einer eigenen Pädagogik geführt, der Waldpädagogik. Erste Ursprünge heutiger Waldpädagogik gehen auf das 19. Jahrhundert zurück, als sich in Frankreich, Italien und Deutschland die mittleren und unteren sozialen Schichten von Stadt- und Vorstadtbewohnern im Wald von der schweren körperlichen Industriearbeit erholten. Neben Natur- und Heimatschutzvereinen entstanden zur Zeit der Reformpädagogik Bewegungen wie der Wandervogel, die Naturfreunde oder die Landerziehungsheime. Zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts wurde dann beobachtet, dass der Schulbesuch für schwächliche Kinder und Kinder in der Rekonvaleszenz nicht gesundheitsfördernd sei. Zudem wurde festgestellt, dass die Schule mit ihrer verbrauchten Luft in den Klassenzimmern, oft ungenügendem Licht und der Forderung nach langem Stillsitzen in unangepassten Bänken der Gesundheit zusätzlich schaden kann, wenn nicht Aus-gleichsmöglichkeiten geboten werden. Als eine solche Ausgleichsmöglichkeit ent-stand 1904 die erste Waldschule in Charlottenburg. Mit ihr nimmt die Waldschul-bewegung ihren Anfang. Diese Idee fand schnell Nachahmer. In den darauffolgenden Jahren entstanden in Mönchengladbach, Kassel, Lübeck und Dortmund weitere Waldschulen. 1929 schlossen sich die Vertreter aller Wald- und Freiluftschulen in Deutschland zur "Vereinigung deutscher Freiluft- und Waldschulen" als Arbeitsgemeinschaft des "Deutschen Vereins für Schulgesundheitspflege" zusammen. Hier war man um den Ausbau weiterer Waldschulen als auch pädagogischer Aufgaben bemüht. Bereits 1930 umfasste diese Vereinigung 70 Waldschu
