Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Psychologie - Arbeit, Betrieb, Organisation und Wirtschaft, Universität Leipzig, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Frage wie Frauen, die in einer Führungsposition tätig sind, von anderen Personen wahrgenommen werden und wie sie hinsichtlich ihrer Führungsqualitäten bewertet werden. Die Untersuchung bzw. Beantwortung der Frage findet immer im Vergleich mit einer männlichen Führungsperson statt. Es werden Unterschiede bzw. Gemeinsamkeiten, aber auch Veränderungen in Wahrnehmung und Bewertung von Frauen und Männern in der Führung herausgearbeitet. Die vorherrschenden Geschlechtsstereotype üben in diesem Zusammenhang einen bedeutsamen Einfluss auf das Bild der Managerin bzw. des Managers aus, doch ist dieser Einfluss recht unterschiedlich in Feld- und Laborstudien. Verschiedene Untersuchungsergebnisse zeigen auf, dass sich das Bild der Managerin im Wandel befindet, aber immer noch der Mann in der Position des Managers eine so genannte Vormachtsstellung einnimmt. Einerseits wird eine Person in einer Führungsposition vorrangig mit einem Mann assoziiert, andererseits werden einem Mann die besseren Führungsqualitäten zugeschrieben. Doch neuste Studien zeigen, dass nicht hauptsächlich das biologische Geschlecht einen Einfluss auf die Zuschreibung von Führungskompetenz hat.
