300+ years ago, motivated by a "sacred hunger for gold," an ordinary sailor accompanied Captain Sharp and several hundred other cut-throats on a piratical maritime pilgrimage in the South Seas of the Spanish Main.

This humble sailor kept a journal of his voyage, which contains the plain sailing details a sailor might record in his journal, but it also contains a record of the violent assaults and murderous rampage he and his fellow sea-dogs brought upon the Spanish America's West coast.

Accounts of this piratical expedition were written by William Dampier, Basil Ringrose, Dick Williams and Captain Sharp - of all these accounts, this plain sailor's journal might be considered the most basic and unvarnished of them all.
