Die Ergebnisse der internationalen Schulleistungsstudien PISA, TIMSS oder IGLU belegen, dass Kinder mit Migrationshintergrund in Deutschland deutlich schlechter abschneiden als in vielen anderen Ländern. Der Autor untersucht am Beispiel einer Schule mit hohem Anteil an Aussiedlerschülerinnen und -schülern, welche Integrationsmaßnahmen und Förderung diese Kinder erfahren oder nicht. Anhand zahlreicher Interviews mit Schülerinnen und Schülern, Lehrpersonen und anderen pädagogischen Fachkräften wird gezeigt, dass die Schule als Institution unter aktiver Beteiligung der Lehrkräfte als "Gatekeeper" Schülerinnen und Schüler mit Migrationshintergrund diskriminiert. Dokumente wie Elternbriefe, Unterrichtsmaterialien usw. belegen und erweitern seine Ausführungen. Die Ergebnisse der Studie lassen Aussagen über die schulische Praxis und ihre Wahrnehmung sowie Auswirkungen auf Schülerinnen und Schüler und das Lehrpersonal zu und bieten somit Zugang aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven. Ein Ausblick mit Fokus auf die Veränderung von schulischer Realität als gelingender Faktor zur Integration bietet Ansätze zur Verbesserung der Integrations- und Fördermaßnahmen in der schulischen Praxis.
About the Author: Anton Große studierte Geschichte, Politik und Deutsch (Realschullehrer-Examen). Von 1974 bis 1993 war er als Lehrer an einer Integrierten Gesamtschule tätig. Von 1993 bis 2009 arbeitete er als Lehrer an einer Haupt- und Realschule mit Orientierungsstufe und nahm dort seit 1995 die Funktion des Fachleiters Deutsch als Zweitsprache und seit 2003 die des Leiters der Fachbereichskonferenz Sprachen wahr. 2014 promovierte er mit der vorliegenden Studie an der Universität Osnabrück.
