Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2017 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Allgemein, Note: 2,5, Technische Universität Berlin (Wirtschaft-Arbeit-Technik), Veranstaltung: WAT, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Seit dem Jahr 2003 findet der flächendeckende Ausbau von Ganztagsschulen statt. Dies war anfangs eine direkt einsetzende Reaktion auf das schlechte Abschneiden der Schülerinnen und Schüler bei der ersten PISA-Studie 2001. Auf der Suche nach den Ursachen zeigten sich zwischen den PISA-Spitzenländern und Deutschland das mehrgliedrige Schulsystem und die Halbtagsschule als die zentralen schulorganisatorischen Unterschiede. Die folgende Zunahme von Lernzeit und veränderte Lernarrangements, die Verstärkung der individuellen Förderung, die Schaffung neuer Sozialräume, die Bereitstellung qualifizierter Betreuungsformen sind für den Ausbau der Ganztagsschulen eine große Herausforderung. Das betrifft nicht nur organisatorische Fragen, sondern auch ihre baulichen Konsequenzen. Wie müssen Räume beschaffen sein, um sowohl den veränderten Lernformen als auch einem Anspruch von Schule als Lebensort gerecht zu werden? Da nicht überall neue Schulgebäude errichtet werden können, impliziert dies auch die Frage: Wie kann eine Schule, die als Halbtagsschule geplant wurde, mit dem gleichen Raumkonzept als ganztägige Schule organisiert werden? Da sich die Aufenthaltsdauer von Schülerinnen und Schülern in der Schule verlängert hat, werden in der Ganztagsschule die vorhandenen Räume häufiger und multipler genutzt. Der Klassenraum ist vom Mobiliar, der Farbgebung, dem Licht und der Akustik abhängig und auch veränderbar, um der Umsetzung der Lernarrangements dienen zu können. Wie können solche Veränderungen aussehen? Gemäß dem Konzept des handlungsorientierten Unterrichts sollten die Schülerinnen und Schüler selbst maßgeblich an der Umgestaltung ihrer Räume mitwirken.
