About the Book

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

Manuel Rivas' new book: three stories in which he describes that it is not important to have or not to have power, but rather decide whether to be or not to be free.

Includes the story which inspired the television series "Vivir sin permiso / Unauthorized Living".

We are the things we remember, we are what we forget, but we also are what we love and what is painful to us.

In the story El miedo de los erizos/The Fear of the Hedgehogs is where rebellion lives and it is a place occupied by those who have nothing to lose. In "Vivir sin permiso/Unauthorized Living" we see how Nemo Bandeira, the most influential businessman in Oeste, has tried throughout his life to cover any crimes committed with as much decency and decorum as possible, and all of a sudden, his memory begins to fade. Sagrado mar/Holy Sea is a story about the true tragedy in life, which is not disobedience or defiance, but rather, obedience and compliance.

In this book, we see good and evil compete, the oppression and the insubordination of unforgettable characters are brought to life through Manuel Rivas' masterful narrative. With drug trafficking as a business and as a network that corrupts people's integrities, the three stories end with the same truth: there is no drug more dangerous than power and violence.
