Inhaltsangabe: Einleitung: Das wirtschaftliche Dilemma in den Betrieben des öffentlichen Personennahverkehrs ist allgemein bekannt. Um dem entgegenzuwirken, gibt es zwei gegensätzliche Strategien: Verkürzung der Betriebszeiten und Fahrpreiserhöhungen, um Kosten zu senken und höhere Einnahmen zu erzielen oder Maßnahmen zur deutlichen und dauerhaften Steigerung der Nachfrage. Letztere Möglichkeit kann als das zentrale Ziel der vorliegenden Untersuchung angesehen werden. Es steht also die Verbesserung des Stadtbusangebotes für eine spezielle Kundengruppe, nämlich die Großkunden im Bedienungsgebiet der Städtischen Werke Überlandwerke Coburg GmbH (SÜC), im Mittelpunkt der Betrachtung. Bei diesen wird mit Hilfe eines Fragebogens eine Befragung zum Fahrverhalten der Mitarbeiter durchgeführt. Die daraus gewonnenen Ergebnisse sollen zunächst analysiert werden, d.h. es wird der Ist-Zustand dargestellt. Im Anschluß daran erfolgt eine Interpretation, in der im Rahmen des Marketing-Mixes entsprechende Verbesserungsvorschläge ausgearbeitet werden. Die Ergebnisse sollen darüber hinaus die Möglichkeiten aufzeigen, die bestehen bzw. die bereits in anderen Verkehrsverbünden angewandt werden, um besonders im Berufsverkehr mehr Menschen zum Umstieg auf den ÖPNV zu bewegen und somit die Straßen zu entlasten.
