Zwischenprüfungsarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Orientalistik / Sinologie - Islamwissenschaft, Note: 2,3, Freie Universität Berlin, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit wird sich mit den Ethiken befassen, die von Immanuel Kant einerseits und Ġazzālī andererseits formuliert wurden. Sie hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht die beiden Moralsysteme zuerst zu erläutern, in ihren jeweiligen Entwicklungskontext zu stellen, um sie hiernach auf Ähnlichkeiten und Unterschiede zu überprüfen. Es darf nicht vergessen werden, dass die beiden Denker in zwei völlig verschiedenen Zeitperioden und Kulturbereichen gelebt haben. Das macht den Vergleich zwar sehr schwierig und problematisch aber in gleicher Weise auch spannend und interessant. Mein Hauptaugenmerk wird auf Ġazzālī und seinem System der Ethik liegen, welches dem Leser näher gebracht werden soll. Der kategorische Imperativ Kants soll als Kontrast dienen, um vielleicht das spezifische in Ġazzālīs Denken besser erkennen zu können. Es birgt zwar auch die Gefahr in sich, dass man einen primären Zweck verfehlt: nämlich den Zugang zum ursprünglichen Charakter Ġazzālīs und seines Denkens, da man es losgelöst von seinem nativen Umfeld mit einem Denksystem vergleicht, welches nur bedingt vergleichbare Paradigmen als Grundlage des Denkens und Fühlens hat. Dieses ist aber dennoch eine sehr hilfreiche und nützliche Methode, da es erst durch eine Kontrastierung möglich ist die Intensität des zu besprechenden Charakters nachvollziehen zu können. Es ist ja bekannt, dass, wenn man allzu lange auf ein und dieselbe Farbe blickt, sie auf Dauer ihre Intensität im Auge des Betrachters verliert. Da es aber wichtig ist den Denker zu kennen, um sein Denken richtig nachvollziehen zu können, werde ich zuerst die Lebensläufe beider Philosophen skizzieren, um sie hiernach in ihren philosophiegeschichtlichen Kontext zu stellen.
