Die Verkaufer, die in den Einzelhandelsgeschaften hinter dem Laden- tisch arbeiten oder als Vertreter fur ihre Firma auf der Reise sind, stehen heute allenthalben einer Kauf-und Verkaufssituation gegen- uber, der sie beruflich meistens nicht gewachsen sind. Denn das fach- liche Wissen und Konnen, das sie sich wahrend ihrer Ausbildung an- geeignet und dann in der Praxis hie und da vervollkommnet haben, reicht nicht aus, den neuen Aufgaben und Anforderungen gerecht zu werden, vor die sie die Veranderung der Marktlage, des Warenange- bots und der Absatzmethoden und namentlich auch die Wandlung der Konsumbedurfnisse, der Kaufgewohnheiten und der sozialen Schich- tung der Verbraucher stellen. Aus diesen Tatsachen ergibt sich fur die Handler und die Hersteller die Notwendigkeit, ihre Mitarbeiter im Verkauf auf diese Situation fachlich entsprechend vorzubereiten und sie warenkundlich, verkaufs- technisch und verkaufspsychologisch fortzubilden und zu trainieren.
