Un'analisi basata su considerazioni personali dall'adolescenza fino ai giorni nostri che coinvolge figure che, nonostante non abbiano mai dimostrato un particolare acume intellettivo, sono riusciti ugualmente a farsi strada nella vita superando anche i più meritevoli o comunque chi ha vissuto nella normale quotidianità senza dar segni di squilibrio mentale.
Vengono presi maggiormente in considerazione gli ambienti scolastici di ogni ordine e grado e l'incidenza dei media sulla formazione culturale delle nuove generazioni.
La gamma dei protagonisti è vastissima: si comincia col balordo che ruba l'elemosina in chiesa senza che nessuno lo ammonisca, fino ad arrivare al primario oncologo che gioca sulla tua pelle ponendoti di fronte ad un giochino idiota per comunicarti la gravità del tuo male.
Si alternano i momenti di comicità a esperienze più tristi che portano effettivamente ad una riflessione su come il destino sia cieco nel premiare o condannare l'essere umano.
Quando mi è stato chiesto di occuparmi della copertina del libro, ho iniziato a leggere il manoscritto. Scorrendo le prime pagine mi convincevo che avrei dovuto immortalare qualcosa di bizzarro, di giocoso. Al termine, l'ilarità si era trasformata in tenera malinconia. Da qui, d'accordo con l'autore, l'dea di raffigurare quello che un tempo fu un manicomio. Un lungo corridoio trafitto da alcuni raggi di sole che significano speranza e una persona al termine del tragitto che esce verso la libertà.

Un libro che fa riflettere. Terminato di leggerlo si è quasi costretti a osservare il mondo e le persone che ci circondano in maniera diversa da come siamo abituati da sempre. Nasce il sospetto che chiunque ci sia accanto possa racchiudere un tarlo di follia per nulla evidente. Leggere gli esempi di certe esperienze raccontate in modo grottesco dall'autore, non sempre è divertente. Molte racchiudono amarezza, malinconia e ingiustizia.
