It has all the original stories from all five books, like Volume I's account of Louis Zamperini (The Green Hornet), Johnny Hawkins (Hard Luck Hawkins), Nils Olaf Osten Althin (The Terrible Sweede), Paul Krempel (The Flying Ringman), and Constantine Gene Mako (Thunder Bolt). Likewise, the book also includes Volume II accounts about Fay Thomas (Million-Dollar Arm and a 10-Cent Head), Ethel Hogan (Methodist Maidens First Championship), Charles Richardson (Field Man Charlie), Raul Lopez (Mexican Wildcat), and Gene Jantzen (USCs Adonis).
