Die gesetzliche Frauenquote versetzt deutsche Unternehmen in Unruhe. Allein die Androhung in den letzten Jahren erzeugte wirtschaftlichen, politischen und gesellschaftlichen Druck. Es gibt Argumente und symbolisch gehaltvolle Gesten, die Förderung akademisch gebildeter Frauen gesetzlich zu verankern, Gegenargumente dagegen mindestens in gleicher Weise. Im Fokus steht nicht die Frage, ob die Quotenregelung notwendig ist. Das Augenmerk liegt vielmehr darin, aktuelle Gegebenheiten mittels Literaturanalyse sowie Forschungsanalysen darzulegen und sie im Kontext zu analysieren. Darüber hinaus Erklärungsansätze für die Minderheit von feminin besetzen Führungspositionen zu ergründen, den wirtschaftlichen sowie gesellschaftlichen Nutzen einer gesetzlichen Einführung herauszufiltern und die Sinnhaftigkeit mit primären gewonnenen Argumenten zu widerlegen. Theoretisch gesehen war es für Frauen noch nie so einfach Karriere zu machen, denn die Voraussetzungen, die Karriereleiter zu erklimmen, sind besser denn je. Ja, Frauen können zwar das Top-Management erreichen, in der Praxis jedoch mit erheblich mehr Leistung und Aufwand als ihre männlichen Mitstreiter. Kann man dabei von einer Gerechtigkeit, Gleichstellung oder Chancengleichheit sprechen, wenn das Frausein noch immer eine Karrierebremse darstellt? Natürlich definieren sich veraltete Rollenbilder und Geschlechterstereotype nicht über Nacht neu, jedoch zeigt uns die Gegenwart selbst nach 100 Jahren Frauenbewegung, dass den erbrachten Leistungen der weiblichen Gesellschaft bei weitem nicht die gleiche Bedeutung beigemessen wird, wie dene
