Ist sie förderlich oder doch eher hinderlich? Durch die wachsende Bedeutung der Unternehmenskultur in den letzten Jahren und Jahrzehnten, wurde der Begriff häufig in unterschiedlichen Zusammenhängen verwendet, oftmals auch in einem falschen und stiftete so mehr Verwirrung als Klarheit. Immer häufiger taucht der Begriff "Unternehmenskultur" in negativen Kontexten auf, beispielsweise bei problematischen Veränderungsprozessen oder schwierigen Integrationsprozessen nach Fusionen. Beispielsweise haben Mitarbeiter des Automobilherstellers Daimler nach der Fusion mit Chrysler kein einheitliches Bild nach außen getragen, standen nicht hinter der neuen Marke und konnten sich nicht mit dieser identifizieren. Die Hauptfrage ist nun, ob Unternehmenskultur einen nachhaltigen Einfluss auf ein Unternehmen nimmt oder ob sie nur ein Trend ist, der bei der Suche nach etwas Halt-barem wie Werten und Identifikation entstanden ist? Mit dieser Hausarbeit soll ein kurzer Überblick über die Grundlagen, die Entstehung und Bedeutung von Unternehmenskultur gegeben sowie auf verschiedene Konzepte eingegangen werden, um dann die Vor- und Nachteile sowie Chancen, aber auch die Hindernisse einer Unternehmenskultur näher zu beleuchten.
