Dafür wird zunächst der Begriff "Unternehmenskultur" definiert und verschiedene theoretische Ansatzpunkte erläutert. Anschließend folgt eine Vorstellung des Hotels Schindlerhof und seiner Unternehmenskultur. Diese wird in den Bezug zu den zuvor genannten Theorien und Modellen gestellt. Am Schluss wird aufgezeigt, welche Erfolge Klaus Kobjoll mit seiner Art der Unternehmensführung erreichen konnte. Spätestens in der Zeit des aktuellen Fachkräftemangels wird vielen Unternehmen bewusst, wie wichtig motivierte und leistungsstarke Mitarbeiter sind. Eine Form des Personalmarketings ist dabei die Schaffung einer Unternehmenskultur, die ein Muster gemeinsamer Grundeinstellungen und Handlungsanweisungen darstellt und für ein angenehmes Arbeitsklima sorgt. In der Hotellerie, deren Arbeitgeberimage geprägt ist von einer ungünstigen Input/Output-Relation nach Adam's Equity-Theory aufgrund von Nacht- und Wochenendarbeit, stark geprägten Hierarchien, geringer Bezahlung und wenig Sozialleistungen, wird allerdings noch wenig für ein angenehmes Arbeitsklima durch eine motivierende Unternehmenskultur getan. Ein weiteres Problem beim Werben um Mitarbeiter insbesondere in der Hotellerie als klassisches Ausbildungsgewerbe ist der demografische Wandel, der für einen Rückgang an Auszubildenden sorgt. Die insgesamt geringen Gewinnmargen der Branche setzen finanziellen Anreizsystemen enge Grenzen. Für ein attraktives Arbeitgeberimage stehen also nur geringe Mittel zur Verfügung.
