Examensarbeit aus dem Jahr 2004 im Fachbereich Didaktik - Deutsch - Pädagogik, Sprachwissenschaft, Note: 1, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover (Institut für Sonderpädagogik), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Scheitern Kinder schon im Anfangsunterricht am Lesen und Schreiben führt dies im Verlauf ihres weiteren Schulbesuchs zur Beeinträchtigung des gesamten schulischen Lernens und ihres Selbstwertgefühls. Einen Teil der Versuche, dem entgegenzuwirken, stellen Konzepte zur präventiven Förderung von Kindern dar. In den letzten Jahren haben vor allem Trainingsprogramme zur präventiven Förderung phonologischer Bewusstheit größere Verbreitung und Aufmerksamkeit gefunden. Phonologische Bewusstheit wird zu den für den Schriftspracherwerb bedeutsamen Voraussetzungen gezählt. Die Trainingsprogramme erwiesen sich in verschieden Studien offenbar als wirksame Maßnahmen zur Prävention von Lese-Rechtschreibschwierigkeiten. Bezüglich der Frage, unter welchen Bedingungen eine frühe Förderung im Bereich phonologische Bewusstheit für die Prävention von LRS sinnvoll ist und der Frage, ob sie im Vorschulbereich nötig ist, gibt es jedoch unterschiedliche, ja gegensätzliche Einschätzungen. Aufgrund der zumindest in empirischen Studien erwiesenen Wirksamkeit der Trainingsprogramme, aber auch der gleichzeitigen Kritik an ihnen, scheint es mir sinnvoll, mich mit der Frage auseinanderzusetzen, unter welchen Bedingungen eine Arbeit mit diesen Programmen Sinn macht. Die Kritik an den Programmen führt mich zu drei Fragen bezüglich der Förderung phonologischer Bewusstheit, denen ich in dieser Arbeit nachgehe: 1. Ist eine präventive Förderung der Fähigkeiten zur Analyse und Synthese von Phonemen, die den Umgang mit Schriftsprache ausspart, sinnvoll? 2. Ist der Stellenwert phonologischer Bewusstheit für den Erfolg im SSE derart groß, dass eine effektive Prävention eine vorschulische Förderung der Fähigkeiten zur Analyse und Synthese von Phonemen notwendig macht? 3.
