Los poemas del libro El unicornio y el delirio son, realmente, poemas de mi adolescencia, ya que su escritura comenzo –si mal no recuerdo– alrededor de 2007 y concluyo en 2011. En el titulo hay una referencia a los seis tapices flamencos reunidos bajo el titulo «La dama y el unicorniο», especialmente al sexto tapiz, al que acompanan las palabras «A mon seul desir», es decir, «A mi unico deseo». Veo cada libro mio –tanto los que han sido publicados por el momento como los que seran publicados en el futuro– como un registro de la epoca en la que estan escritos, como una grabacion de cada periodo de mi vida. Este libro difiere un poco de ello, porque la edad a la que lo escribi no me permitio ni siquiera darme cuenta de mi obsesion con la totalidad. Pero puedo ver en estos poemas todo lo que estaba en mi mente en ese momento: el despertar de mi identidad politica, mi atraccion por el lado oscuro de las cosas (la muerte y el mal) y mi profunda curiosidad por los cuentos de hadas, mitos, leyendas y su significado habitualmente terrible. Esto es algo que percibi especialmente en mi misma mientras escribia lo que venia despues de El unicornio y el delirio: en todo hay un significado oculto y terrible, como en la vida misma; en todas partes existe el horror. Asi que tal vez este libro, que fue el primer libro, no fuese mas que una confesion de la mayor exigencia que tengo al escribir poemas: entonar un canto al infierno. Τα ποιηματα του βιβλιου «Ο Μονοκερως και η Ψυχωση» ειναι, στην πραγματικοτητα, ποιηματα της εφηβειας μου, αφου η συγγραφη τους ξεκινησε –αν θυμαμαι καλα– γυρω στο 2007 και ολοκληρωθηκε το 2011. Μεσα στον τιτλο βρισκεται μια αναφορα στα εξι φλαμανδικα παραπετασματα που ονομαστηκαν «La dama y el unicornio», ειδικα στο εκτο παραπετασμα, το οποιο συνοδευουν τα λογια «A mon seul desir», δηλαδη «a mi solo deseo». Βλεπω καθε βιβλιο μου –τοσο αυτα που εχουν εκδοθει προς το παρον οσο και αυτα που θα εκδοθουν στο μελλον– σαν μια καταγραφη της εποχης κατα την οποια γραφονται, σαν μια καταγραφη της εκαστοτε περιοδου της ζωης μου. Το βιβλιο «Ο Μονοκερως και η Ψυχωση» διαφερει λιγο ως προς αυτο, διοτι η ηλικια κατα την οποια το εγραφα δεν μου επετρεπε να συνειδητοποιησω ακομη την εμμονη μου με την ολοτητα. Μπορω να διακρινω ομως σε αυτα τα ποιηματα ολα αυτα τα οποια υπηρχαν στον νου μου εκεινη την εποχη: η αφυπνιση της πολιτικης μου ταυτοτητας, η ελξη μου απο τη σκοτεινη πλευρα των πραγματων (τον θανατο και το κακο), καθως και η βαθια μου περιεργεια για τα παραμυθια, τους μυθους, τους θρυλους και το συνηθως τρομερο τους νοημα. Ειδικα αυτο ειναι κατι που αντιληφθηκα στον εαυτο μου και ενοσω εγραφα αυτα που ηρθαν υστερα απο τον «Μονοκερω»: Σε καθετι υπαρχει ενα κρυφο και τρομερο νοημα, οπως στην ιδια τη ζωη· παντου υπαρχει η φρικη. Ισως λοιπον αυτο το βιβλιο, που ηταν και το πρωτο βιβλιο, να μην ηταν παρα μια ομολογια της μεγαλυτερης αξιωσης που εχω γραφοντας ποιηματα: να πω ενα τραγουδι για την κολαση.
