Abstract''For every thousand hacking at the leaves of evil there is one striking at the root '' (Henry David Thoreau).This book (the whole tree) is an attempt to strike at the deepest tip of the root. The roots are the problems or challenges we face in this twenty first century across the world, ranging from personal lives, social, economic and spiritual. I argue that the symptom manifestations (leaves) of social, economic and spiritual challenges all come from the roots of moral inadequacies and lack of spiritual growth. It is true all these challenges lie in many individuals then spread through to families and end up in communities. Later on they can spread like a fire outbreak to different nations and spread globally if not diagnosed early from the root cause and then treated quickly. Spiritual challenges that are infected from the roots must also be found solutions from the roots to avoid the whole from being infected. To allow this concept this is like treating a deep wound from the bottom to the top and not just covering the surface of the wound plasters. In chronological order the roots are vision and purpose, commitment or obligation, understanding and wisdom, leadership, communication and self-discipline. These can be defined as follows: Vision: An eternal perspective towards life, its challenges and must influence all decisions, choices, will and actions.Purpose: Perusing that goal you were born to do. This must be a God given gift or talent with a mission to influence others as you share your gift.Commitment or Obligation: Once you know your vision and purpose of your gift, then you must take a step to oblige to it accordingly to peruse your goal of that mission.Understanding: The quality of our own lives and depth of our understanding of others are the basic roots in succeeding with people. Wisdom: Wisdom comes with fear for God and having understanding of the word of God in the bible scriptures.Communication: Communicating must be between God and man (Human and Holy Spirit).The most important activity of man to God through prayer. Self-discipline: To do and act consistent with commitment and vision is the root source of integrity and effectiveness to society.This book will add to your understanding and wisdom to God's purpose for mankind. It will also reinforce and deepen understanding of common spiritual roots of life as well as solve learn how to solve them.
