Drug abuse is all about pain. It is about the physical pain that modern medicine addresses with opioids. It is about the emotional pain that we all face and some of us learn to deal with, while others learn to mask by self-medicating.

About the Author A product of the sixties, Dr. Bill Gallagher, DC traces his roots to a speakeasy on either side of the family tree. He brings forty years of experience in drug abuse prevention, from designing a student-based program long before SADD to founding a nonprofit organization with international reach. He also has fifty years' experience as a writer stating as a sports writer at the age of fourteen.
