Dazu gehören Toleranz, gegenseitiges Verständnis und eine Kultur der Anerkennung. Der Autor ist der Meinung, dass der gute Umgang mit interkulturellen Situationen und Konflikten eine Kompetenz ist, die sich junge Menschen aneignen sollten. Im Umgang mit Fremdheit das Eigene zu erkennen und dem Fremden wertschätzend zu begegnen, kann unsere Jugend und dadurch auch die Gesellschaft stärken. Der Autor möchte Schüler und Schülerinnen durch ein interkulturelles Training zur Selbstreflexion einladen. Es soll dabei das Ziel verfolgt werden, die Bedeutung der eigenen Kultur für alltägliche Wahrnehmungs-, Zuschreibungs- und Bewertungsprozesse anschaulich zu machen, sowie Schüler und Schülerinnen auf den Umgang mit kulturellen Unterschieden vorzubereiten. Das Ziel der Abschlussarbeit ist es aufzuzeigen wie eine Lerneinheit für Schüler und Schülerinnen, die in der Praxis von Erzieher und Erzieherinnen für die Lernhilfe gestaltet und umgesetzt werden kann. Fragestellung: Kann ein "Interkulturelle Kompetenz" Training, Schülern und Schülerinnen, den Umgang mit kultureller Vielfalt erleichtern? Welche Aspekte sollten in einem "Interkulturelle Kompetenz" Training berücksichtigt werden?
