O Programa de Erlangen (Erlanger Programm) foi uma proposta de unificação das geometrias por meio de grupos simetria, realizada em 1872 pelo matemático alemão, Félix Klein. Motivados por esse trabalho, nós propomos um programa de unificação das topologias de baixa dimensão de variedades espaço-temporais planas. Neste trabalho, construímos uma álgebra de Clifford que admita a existência de dimensões inteiras negativas. Para isso, retomamos aos trabalhos de Poincaré que associam a dimensão do espaço ao número de parâmetros do grupo de deslocamento do espaço motor e interpretamos o que significaria um espaço de dimensão negativa e desenvolvemos sua álgebra de Grassmann. Por fim, estabelecemos conceitos topológicos de continuidade e convergência em Cauchy para os espaços de dimensão negativo e provamos que a geometria desse espaço é gerada pelas geometrias não-arquimedianas. Esta nova álgebra de Clifford é desenvolvida sobre anéis de números parabólicos (duais), polares (complexos) e hiperbólicos (perplexos) que, por abreviação, chamaremos de números hipercomplexos, que são unificadas por meio da construção de funções especiais, batizadas de funções de Poincaré, que dependem das coordenadas no espaço-tempo (eventos) e da unidade hipercomplexa. Como as funções de Poincaré são automorfismos internos do espaço-tempo, elas atuam como um mapa e induzem a topologia conforme as unidades hipercomplexas. Portanto, o programa que propomos atinge seu objetivo geral de unificar as topologias do espaço-tempo plano e ainda permite explicitar propriedades físicas de natureza topológica. Registre que este programa também permite construir uma ontologia para o espaço e amplia as possibilidades de compreensão da topologia do tempo.Portanto, esse livro sintetiza os esforços necessários para se construir um programa de uma topologia de baixa dimensão unificada que permita caracterizar todos estes espaços-tempos planos. Como as variedades espaço-temporais são espaços topológicos munidos de métrica, suas propriedades são caracterizadas pelas álgebras de Clifford em anéis hipercomplexos associativos com unidade, de forma que as transformações de Galileu são induzidas por um número dual; as transformações de Lorentz, por um número perplexo e as transformações de Euclides, por um número complexo. Esse fato nos levou a procurar um automorfismo interno que atua como um mapa da variedade e induz a métrica do espaço-tempo a partir da qualidade (característica) da unidade hipercomplexa de cada anel. Este automorfismo resultou convergiu para utilização do anel dos números (quatérnions) híbridos que permitiu a criação de funções híbridas, que chamamos de funções de Poincaré. Estas funções permitiram deduzir propriedades gerais do espaço-tempo, das geometrias hiperbólicas, parabólicas e elípticas e dos grupos SO(3), SO(4) e SO(1,3). Essa abordagem permite destacar as propriedades globais do espaço-tempo e sugere métodos para modelos geodinâmicos e também uma nova forma de se abordar o ensino Teoria da Relatividade a nível superior.
