Ueré is a Brazilian boy, a country of mixed culture. The cross-cutting character is 4 to 5 years old and is descendent of Portuguese and African paternal grandparents and South America Indigenous Tupi Guarani and Brazilian (already of mixed origin) maternal grandparents.

Ueré name comes from Tupi Guarani origins (the most widespread Brazilian indigenous language), was evidenced as a name easy to pronounce in any language in which the books are going to be translated.
