About the Book

Born December 1, 1921...Dr. Gibson came from Pleasanton, Kansas - Earned B.A. - Missouri Southern State College - M.A. (1948) and Ph.D. (1954) from the University of Oklahoma - He was professor of history and government at Phillips University in Enid - and at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. His works include so many...near three dozen Oklahoma History of Five Centuries of Books. Gibson served as the Oklahoma Center for the Book's first president - the Center named its highest award in honor of the Norman historian. Seven of the 21 authors on the official Literary Map of Oklahoma are recipients of the Arrell Gibson Lifetime Achievement Award. It is given annually to an Oklahoman for a body of literary work. Gibson died in Norman - November 30, 1987 Why the title? Reason #1: Raising the Palm of their Hand (American Indian) to the side of the face of that tribal member was more than 'Hello'. It seems, as told me by a very older American Indian, belief was; the Palm of the hand carried the eternal eye. Never to blink, stray, close and accept only the truth! Reason #2: Truth all day... "Twilight" is 'the' time between dawn, sunrise . of the day, and sunset or dusk. With 'Dusk' to be 'Civil', 'Nautical' or 'Astronomical. 'History of the American Indian, from these pages, is extremely delicate or refined with firm but ethereal spiritual beauty. Yet, here in these pages we find living on this earth is a power of patience, as some call the American Indian. And the science of their 'where about' is more than amazing, at times. As is, of course, that of all life and human beings! So, it is said, with any class of organic compounds in which two hydrocarbon groups are linked by an oxygen atom, I ask, "Where and how, with life coming from volatile, highly flammable liquid, C2H5OC2H5, from the regions of space beyond the earth's atmosphere; the heavens did, whom we call American Indian, show up 30,000 years ago? "Through this great Native American insight, with Dr. Gibson, his plateau is obvious. That is to reach out to let us achieve that common ground of mutual understanding for humankind. His verbal détente of history for all of us. Through great achievements of Native America. And, should help us. In that to be when we see within standoffs of non-comparative relationship within each and other societies'. as to become more productively unified. Let the words from these pages, called Twilight of the Palms, bring Chrystal Clear definition to the truth of human kind.
About the Author: As the author of this book, it is one of six others completed. Four biography and a couple of documentary! Plus dozens of short stories! Started writing while in elementary school when I was nine years old went on through high school to complete a few scripts for stage and a few short stories. A lot of acting under the direction of others! Three years of electronics in high school, while on the side I had written a couple or few technical articles for within a chemical electronic addendum. Went to Arizona University to enroll! While in Mesa, I decided to head for a liberal arts college back south central to develop a little better writing habit. Playing sports a bit, into music from 'birth', writing about everything that came along, my PC is packed full of memories in words of description elite. After college, and during, I became a radio broadcaster for twenty one years. I was writing continually for that, writing and directing stage productions, writing songs for me and others. But deep inside that library of life, and some very rough, and other good experiences thoughts and memories jelled into montage of colloquium. Or that is to say I was provided an opportunity to explore ways of integrating academic, professional, and intellectual odyssey through conversation with peers. Or people of the same literature thoughts, and research. Media Psychology is a very real oasis of thought and wonder within my advocacy promotion of truth with understanding. This author mentally strives to understand those he writes about. To expel the actual truth and action without surmising an inch or thought. I believes every thought is a tattoo for ever, unless a deep desire to change that inner image takes over. And every word read or heard is within a rhythm of thought for later use. And every individual that has ever been or will be, is in place to understand their place on earth. And cope with those others trying to do the same. Kind or rash as it may be at times, adjustment is necessary for life on earth, and that very possible wake to total understanding late. Words written, heard, seen or heard on television make us what we are. And all from our interpretation.
