Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Medien / Kommunikation - Film und Fernsehen, Note: 1,7, Universität Siegen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Sucht man mit der Internet-Suchmaschine Google nach dem Begriff "TV", erhält man knapp 1,6 Milliarden Ergebnisse. Andererseits erzielt die Eingabe von "Web 2.0" auch schon weit über 730 Millionen Treffer. Und das, obwohl dem Medium Fernsehen über 70 Jahre Zeit blieben, um sich derart gesellschaftlich zu etablieren, der Begriff "Web 2.0" aber gerade mal erst eineinhalb Jahre alt ist. Von der offensichtlich methodischen Problematik dieses Vergleichs einmal abgesehen, kann er eins jedoch äußerst wirkungsvoll veranschaulichen: den rasanten Erfolg des Begriffes und des damit zusammenhängenden Phänomens. Nahezu täglich berichten die führenden Medien dieser Welt über "Web 2.0" und den damit zusammenhängenden Websites wie YouTube, MySpace und Co. Neben der Frage, was unter dem Begriff nun eigentlich genau zu verstehen sei, herrscht vor allem aber in der Diskussion um die Relevanz dieser vermeintlich neuen Version des Internets großer Dissens. Handelt es sich analog zur geplatzten Dotcom-Blase zur Jahrtausendwende nur um einen neuen Internet-Hype oder eventuell doch um einen fundamentalen Medienwandel? [...] Allzu oft nehmen jedoch futurologische Entwürfe eines Medienwandels einen viel breiteren Raum ein als die Bilanzierung des Status quo. Es fehlt in der Debatte um die Auswirkungen von "Web 2.0" auf das Fernsehen an einer pragmatischen Herangehensweise durch die Untersuchung bisheriger Entwicklungen unter Einbezug aktueller empirischer Ergebnisse. Diese Arbeit soll daher eine Bestandsaufnahme und Analyse aktueller Konvergenzprozesse von Web 2.0 und Fernsehen liefern, wobei Konvergenz hier eher im formalen und inhaltlichen, denn im rein technologischen Sinne betrachtet wird. Die Berücksichtigung der technologischen Innovationsdynamik ist zwar unabdingbar, da sie oft erst die Voraussetzung für formale und inhaltliche Veränder
