Secondo questa leggenda, per mettere fine ai morti da piombo, occorreva rinvenire una felce di genere maschile; la leggenda popolare si intreccia con la storia di Eleonora d'Arborea e della conquista aragonese dell'isola, all'epilogo dell'epopea dei giudicati (il cui ultimo a cadere fu proprio dove regnava Eleonora d'Arborea e il suo sposo, il genovese Barisone Doria). Abettendi a Garibaldi è invece la storia di un gruppo di giovani universitari cagliaritani che, nel Carnevale del 1949, organizzano la Rantantira, la famosa sfilata delle maschere cagliaritane, in giro per il centro storico della città. Il gruppo è bloccato in attesa di due amici che indossano le maschere di Giuseppe Garibaldi e di sua moglie Anita. Le due maschere ritardano perchè sono state fermate dalle guardie sabaude, alle quali una spia, padre di Lucilla (la maschera di Anita) ha comunicato l'intenzione delle maschere di attaccare la guarnigione piemontese di guardia al Castello e di rispedire a mare tutti i piemontesi residenti in città. Le vicende del 1949 si intrecciano con quelle del 1812, l'anno famigerato, passato alla storia come l'anno della carestia più terribile di Cagliari (s'Annu Doxi), che le maschere rivivono in un copione che il capo delle maschere, Su Maiolu ha scritto per l'occasione. Aforas sos Sardos è ancora precedente, essendo ambientato alla fine del 1600, quando a Cagliari ancora regnavano gli Spagnoli. Aforas sos Sardos è il grido con cui si apre la rappresentazione e che segnava l'ora di usicita dei Sardi dalle mura del Castello, ove qualche anno prima era stato ammazzato il vicerè spagnolo Camarassa. Ma il figlio del nuovo vicerè, il sanguinario Sangermano, si innamora di rosina, una sartina cagliaritana che lavora alle dipendenze di sua mamma. _Suo padre Severinu inutilmente chiederà il suo aiuto per catturare il suo innamorato Felipe e ricattare così il vicerè, obbligandolo a lasciare l'isola ai Sardi, in cambio della vita di suo figlio. alla fine trionferà l'amore contrastato tra Felipe e rosina, contro l'odio e l'ambizione di potere degli adulti. S'Urtima Jana, infine, ci proietta nell'epoca nuragica, quando gli Shardana prendono il potere. Si narra di un trono conteso tra il fratello di un re deceduto e il figlio legittimo spodestato. Attraverso il rito dell'incubazione una sacerdotessa scopre che gli dei del Pozzo Sacro sono contrari al matrimonio tra il figlio dell'usurpatore e la figlia del defunto re, estremo tentativo della vecchia classe al potere di legittimare il suo comando. Il patriarcato, rappresentato dal Sole, prevarrà sul matriarcato, rappresentato dalla Luna, in una notte che sarà l'ultima in cui l'amore prevalga sull'odio e sul potere. S'Urtima Jana è stata anche tradotta in lingua inglese e pubblicata su Amazon con il titolo "The last moon".
