About the Book

THE TUSITALA.
Set from 1914 to 1985.
Gideon Drew loses everything he has to a cunning thief. Penniless and homeless, he is powerless to save his wife and son, who are about to die of a terrible disease. With no reason to continue living, he joins the army and is sent to fight in a faraway land, hoping for an honourable death in battle. But fate has other plans for him.
In a deep bomb crater on the battlefield, where he is desperately trying to save the life of his commanding officer, a stranger appears. The stranger offers him the opportunity of immortality for as long as it takes to recover all he has lost - in exchange for something Gideon no longer needs.
Gideon accepts the proposal, not believing he can ever recapture all he has lost. For the next seventy years, he doesn't age one day and spends his time wreaking havoc on the lives of everybody he meets, breaking hearts, and ruining friendships and marriages. But one day, he meets Catherine and falls in love again. She is the first step on his journey to recover all he has lost. But one day, he must settle the bargain with the stranger.
This is the second story in the "Storyteller" series.
This is one of the five books in the "Story Teller" series. Each book explores a very different kind of relationship.

Death of a Sparrow.
1943
The first story is about Marissa (15). She is on a train with 281 other Jewish Children being evacuated from their town in Slovenia to the safety of Switzerland. But the train journey is a masquerade. Its true mission and destination is to carry a precious cargo of enriched uranium into the heart of Germany. The shipment will profoundly change the course of the war if it reaches Germany. After Germany, the train is bound for the death camp Naztweiller in France, where the children will be exterminated. Marissa befriends a German guard on a train and rapes him during the journey. The relationship quickly develops into a love affair, and they find themselves facing one monumental decision when the opportunity arises for them to escape from the train. They can run, but it will cost the lives of all the other children on the train, including Marissa's closest friends, or they can stay, but if they do, it will cost the lives of millions of people across Europe.....

The Prospect of Redemption.
2015
The third is a love story between Harry and his sister Sarah. They are 7 and 4 when they embark on a sexual relationship that continues for fifteen years. Harry commits suicide on Sarah's wedding day.

Be Happy with My Life
2020
The fourth story is about Katie Rose Farrier, who lives a perfect life with her husband and three children. Then she discovers she is dying from Cancer. Katie spends what time she has left searching for someone to replace her after she has gone. She finds Lauren, who lives in the same village, and a relationship develops, although they never meet. The story is about their lives and how they eventually morph into one new life for the families.

The Killing Plan.
2030
The final story is about D.I. Mackenzie Parish, whose wife and daughter mysteriously die in an impossible road accident. Five years later, during his investigation into the murder of a prostitute, he discovers that the killer can only be one man, Aiden Hawsley, who has been Prime Minister and Lord Protector of the united kingdom for the last ten years. The story explores his relationship with his virtual reality lover, Loretta, who replicates many of the attributes of his dead wife, Catherine. Mackenzie also realises that Hawsley must also have been responsible for the death of his family.
