About the Author: Erol I. Yorulmazoglu has previously served as secretary general and regional vice president for the Assembly of Turkish American Associations (ATAA). A board-certified physician and educator, he has worked as a history teacher at Chicago's Turkish American School.
An extensive traveler, Yorulmazoglu has visited many historical sites throughout central Asia. He enjoys giving lectures on Turkish history to adults and children alike. He is passionate about educating Turkish youth living outside of Turkey to help them better understand their culture and history. Yorulmazoglu is married and has three children.
