Relato ubicado en el Viejo San Juan de Puerto Rico, durante el corto lapso que separa a Héroem del tiro que propone pegarse a media noche. De camino por la Calle de la Fortaleza, atrapado en una vorágine de emociones, convencido de que la vida ya no produce en él nada excepto náuseas, tropieza con la luz de una mirada que lo agrieta por dentro. Su confusión crece a medida que cae el día. Punzado por la poderosa mirada, seguro de que esos ojos femeninos lo incitan a reconsiderarlo todo, compite contra las manecillas del reloj mientras los busca con desesperación por los callejones de la ciudad.

La iniciación
La vida de don Saturno, puertorriqueño de avanzada edad, toma un giro de ciento ochenta grados tras ser arrojado a la calle por la mujer a quien ha entregado su vida. Sin lugar a donde ir, ni familiar a quien acudir, confronta las sombras que lo han perseguido desde siempre. Tendrá que hacer paces con la Soledad para poder reclamarse a sí mismo.

El joven puertorriqueño Marcel Giusti siente quedar atrapado en un paréntesis mientras espera con ansias los resultados de una prueba de VIH. About the Author: Carlos II Ocasio Díaz nació en San Juan, Puerto Rico. Publicó su primer libro a los dieciocho años, el cual llegó a encabezar la lista de los títulos más vendidos a nivel Isla en prestigiosas librerías como Thekes, Bell, Book and Candle, Castlebooks y Borders, entre otras. En el 2005 su primera novela Abre la puerta ganó el premio de mejor novela otorgado por el Pen Club Capítulo de Puerto Rico. Su primer libro de cuentos Tríada de abril, publicado en el 2006, va por su tercera edición; además, fue adaptado al teatro por el grupo estudiantil de la catedrática Nelly Bauzá Echevarría en la Universidad de Puerto Rico en Utuado. Desde hace varios años sus libros siguen siendo incluidos en los currículos de varios profesores de las universidades más importantes de Puerto Rico. En el 2015 toda su obra de cuentos (Tríada de abril, Santura, De luna llena) fue traducida al inglés. La novela Mateo, que comenzó a escribir hace siete años, será publicada a finales del 2015.
