About the Author: Inquieta y curiosa, apacible y rebelde, tranquila y resuelta, como lo sería siempre, nací el 16 de Junio de 1960 en Lima, Perú. Vine al mundo con el regalo más maravilloso debajo del brazo: una dosis ilimitada de imaginación -mis alas etéreas. Desde pequeña me refrescaron las gotas del indomable océano Pacifico y los copos de nieve de la magna Cordillera Andina; me embriagó la fragancia de las flores de la selva del Amazonas. En sueños navegué el río más largo del mundo descifrando en el rumor de la quena el misticismo y la magia de mis antepasados, aquellos que adoraron el sol con el mismo ímpetu que heredé de ellos para transmitir un mensaje de inspiración. A los nueve años llegué a la sucursal del paraíso, Venezuela, donde quedé para siempre subyugada por su exuberante y hermosa naturaleza y por el calor y la alegría de su gente. En las aguas tibias del Mar Caribe me enamoré por primera vez y sobre un tepuy y contemplando la catarata más impresionante del planeta descubrí un horizonte infinito de posibilidades. A los trece años un amigo me dio a leer El Principito; mi vida cambió irremediablemente al descubrir que la fantasía podía perfectamente convivir con la realidad. Me otorgué una licencia para inventar y fui capaz de exiliarme en un mundo que inventé de palabras e imágenes. Aún vivo allí, a pesar del tiempo transcurrido; conviviendo con los personajes y las historias que invento al azar. Desde hace ya muchos años resido en mi esquinita entre mar y cielo, aquí en la hermosa ciudad de Miami. Rodeada de azul y escuchando el trinar de los pájaros celebro la vida en este plácido jardín donde ahora florecen mis sueños. Soy el producto de la mezcla de los recuerdos y vivencias de un país andino, cuna de culturas y civilizaciones que desafiaron a la historia, y uno caribeño, trópico submundo mágico. Por mis venas corre la sangre suiza de mi padre, de quien heredé el espíritu indomable de la libertad, y la generosidad y la nobleza de mi madre Peruana. Entre amaneceres y ocasos he escrito seis novelas, más de cien cuentos y un número incontable de poemas. Poseo una extensa colección de cuadros que he pintado, estilo ingenuo/naif. Mi mayor tesoro es mi familia: mis padres, mis hermanos Carlos y Anita, mis hijos Angélica y Eric, mi esposo Mauro. Todo me inspira y cada creación es una entrega de amor.
