About the Book

While it stands on its own merits, TRUMP And the Hidden Mechanism that Controls Humanity is a great companion to my first book, The Subtle Shift. These writings address the divisive thinking mechanism that appears to have hijacked human thinking, its so-called origins, and how Mr. Trump is the perfect archetypical example of this mechanism in action. This interloper that has seemingly taken control of humanity is not another condition or disorder that only some unfortunate characters appear to be burdened with, while others remain immune. What is referred to again and again in this book as "the mechanism" is part and parcel to every human that appears to be living on this planet.Speaking on the basis of what appears as the human picture, it seems that we live in unstable times, and our problems are not restricted to one person, one group, or one country. It seems humanity is at a crossroads. As the conflicts multiply, we continue to draw lines that cross pre-existing lines. One might ask, as a species, how is it that we have arrived at this pivotal point given our relatively limited history on this planet. Are we facing the end of civilization in the not too distant future? Is the end of humankind inevitable? Is there anything that can be done to alter the course we're currently on? Is there anything we can do that might result in a more balanced and sustainable future for all of humankind? Is Donald Trump the ideal metaphor for a divisive mechanism that has potentially reached an apex of dominance and momentum? These are just some of the questions that are addressed in these writings. This book explores exactly how this mechanism appears to function, its impact on human behavior, and how it has permeated every aspect of human experience. Furthermore, this work looks at the nature of our seeming reality, as well as how it is that we appear to experience what we ordinarily call "our world." And finally, this work looks at various aspects of humanity and humankind, societies, and in particular, American society and the growing signs that seem to suggest we have crossed the Rubicon. This work is not about any one person in particular, Mr. Trump just happens to be a perfect metaphor for the divisive thinking mechanism that is the fundamental focus of these writings. It's not about specific people or personalities, nor is it about pitting one group against another. These writings and the premise upon which they rest completely depersonalize the entire issue of politics, so whether one is pro-Trump or anti-Trump has no meaning in the context of this work. This book explores the root cause behind many of the dilemmas we appear to be facing today. Give it a read, in fact, read it more than once and it may very well impact the way you look at things. Often, when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change as well.
