About the Book

I, the prince of Troy, found myself in a dream ravished by a nightmare. The nightmare, it seemed, abducted the dream and took it to the bleakest of realms. Then I realize the significance of what I saw. But I cannot be the nightmare for Helen is my dream, my most beautiful dream. She is the one who stole my heart and took it where it will always reside. I felt oblivion stumble in its own nothingness. Helen made our love a dream. But then I saw the blissful union of our hearts being swept by the darkest of shadows. Achilles was coming. I saw the glittering surface of a life's totality, and then the void rushing to shred it to tatters. The nightmare's vast army was about to collide with the dream. Helen's beauty became whole before the darkness began to drown out its light. In that beauty, I saw life fighting for all that was precious. But then Achilles arose from the black mass with death reigning in his eyes. With ever-flowing tears, Helen, the beauty of beauties, marched forward as she saw the armies of fate and free will about to collide. My dream instantly reconfigured her every movement under a flawless summer sky. The two armies surged as Helen felt her limbs surprisingly reaching for safety. Helen felt that she had regained complete motion, but she knew that she would once again feel her will being bent by the nightmare. I felt the nightmare abducting my dream, and the beauty within my dream, Helen, was going to be lost forever. She was a beautiful dream ravished by the deepest darkness, and I could only watch from a helpless distance. My dream was now under the nightmare's complete control. But then the darkness probed her mind, and I felt myself briefly journeying within the moments of her childhood. It saw a light within her that slowly rose and allowed me to have one last look at her past. Before the nightmare took the dream from me, I saw the moment when beauty gazed upon death for the first time.
