Welcome to Puzzle Barn Press's fun and challenging Burning Hot 300 Puzzles - Futoshiki, Word Search, and Kendoku!
FUTOSHIKI Rules:
FUTOSHIKI puzzles are built on square grids. To solve them you must place numbers into the puzzle cells in such a way that each row and column contains each of the digits less than the size of the puzzle. To give the solver a start, there will normally be several numbers already in the puzzle. In addition, a few pairs of adjacent cells will have symbols inserted between them to indicate the relative sizes of the numbers within those cells.
WORD SEARCH Rules:
Locate the given words (a list on each page) in the grid, running in one of eight possible directions: Horizontally, vertically, (forward and/or backward) or diagonally.
KENDOKU Rules:
Kendoku puzzles are built on square grid cells. To solve them, you must place numbers into the puzzle cells in such a way that each row and column contains each of the digits from 1 up to the size of the puzzle.
This is a beautiful set of high-intensity challenges, but note that the number puzzles rotate in difficulty on a 7-puzzle cycle. Each puzzle has a unique solution and no guessing is required.
