Ouve a voz do KapãnoJapo ao seu lado, ele fala em Kaingângue, zombando dos gemidos dos blandengues: - Fi vækrær tóg mæ ha tî. (Dá pra se ouvir ao longe ou choro deles) ... de Andonaegui contesta seu ex-aluno: - Já somos imortais caro Miguel Tinajero, quanto aos atos que nos imortalizaram, depende de como o tolo que segura a pena o descreverá. A fogueira acesa em baixo de um tapiri dos aimorés, devido ao chuvisqueiro que avança noite à dentro, à beira da fogueira, KapãnoJapo atiça o fogo, pega um espeto, feito em madeira de pau ferro, onde espetado está um naco de carne, um pedaço de braço humano, cortado entre o cotovelo e a axila, o rei botocudo olha a carne, parece estar bem assada, morde em cima do bíceps, arranca um naco, mastiga degustando o assado, um gosto amargo lhe vem a goela contaminando a alma, olha o pedaço do braço do Põ'í-Bang Mîgkrîrý, compreende a sensação
