Trev and Ike love their lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It may be a little quiet in their small hometown, but the two best friends know how to make their own adventures. During one magical summer, the two stumble on something amazing and receive a new understanding about the world around them.
It all begins with a trek into Cherokee National Forest. The two, along with their younger brothers, J.J. and Rick, chase their dog after he goes after a deer deep in the woods. Before they know it, the four are lost. In their confusion, they stumble on a strange waterfall and a ghostly Native American chief.
The man, Nunneh, tells them that they are at the foot of the Great Kachina Falls. He has been sent by the Great Unethanyshi, the Creator, to lead them out of the forest. He tells them that the four are meant for great things and are to be given special gifts to help them on their quest.
In the thrilling adventures that follow, the four will discover the true extent of their new supernatural powers and their promised purpose!
