About the Book

Además, en plena investigación, descubrirá algo que va a cambiarle la vida..ENGLISH DESCRIPTIONInspector Mascarell's seventh case, in the crime novel series by Jordi Sierra i Fabra. Miquel Mascarell has three days to solve a twelve-year-old mystery that is related to the 1938 bombings in Barcelona. August, 1950. Miquel and Patro are prepared to spend the day on the beach. But everything takes a turn when she disappears and he receives a very explicit note: if he doesn't resolve a cold case from 1938 in the next three days, Patro will die. Working against the clock in a Barcelona that is baking in the summer heat, Miquel must once again face the ghosts of the past. Closed too quickly by another detective--leading to the death of an innocent person--the case goes back to the cruel bombings on the city in March of 1938. Bombings that, after Guernica, were the war's bloodiest and most savage. The bomb that exploded the intersection of Gran Vía and Balmes St. is the novel's detonator. On that corner, the body of a soldier was found--a soldier who did not die in the explosion, but was murdered. By whom? Why? On top of that, in the middle of the investigation, the detective discovers something that will change his life...
