About the Book

Jazz and Isabella are two retirees who lived by themselves as their children were old and independent. They therefore did not have children to look after nor, at least not yet, any grandchildren. They decide to go on holiday to Mauritius following a very illustrious and satisfactory long working life without any international holiday as a couple. They arrive in Mauritius and enjoy the sights and sounds of the sweet Island. In the process of their short stay Jazz hooks up with a young waitress at one of the restaurants in the northern town of Grandie Baie, Pointe aux Canonnaire. It is love at first sight! As time comes for the couple to go back home, Jazz abandons all that he believed in and had worked hard for...
About the Author: Dr Shadrick G Lungu lives in Chingola, Zambia. He is married to Dr Martha CM Lungu and between them have two lovely children, Dalitso (a boy) and Zamiwe, a girl. He works for a Copper Mining company as a Senior Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon. Shadrick is a graduate of the University of Zambia and was attached to Kalafong and Pretoria Academic Hospitals of the University of Pretoria, in the Republic of South Africa before graduating with a merit in Master of Surgery in Orthopaedics. He has published a number of medical papers in various medical journals and is a Foundation Fellow of The College of Surgeons of East, Central & Southern Africa, a fellow in Spine Surgery from Assuit University, Egypt, a Charter member of the Institute of Arbitrators (London), holder of a Certificate in Business Administration. He is an honorary lecturer for AO/ASIF Foundation; an organization striving to improve orthopaedic and trauma care for/of the patients in the economically challenged countries of the world. He is an honorary member of the SADC group of Prosthestics and Orthotics Since May 2015. He belongs to two service and charitable organizations respectively. He is a progressive Melvin Jones Fellow of the Associations of Lions Clubs International and District Governor for District 413 Zambia for the year 2015-2016 and Deputy Chairperson for Mission Medic Air, respectively. His hobbies are reading, art, writing (doing research) watching documentaries on Digital Satellite Television where old "dead" classic cars are transformed into "new" live ones, football and boxing; and also listening to Jazz and Blues... This is his third semi-fictional project that he has undertaken. He however has authored "My Past Started Yesterday" and another fiction book entitled "The Black Dollar That Saved my Life but..." He gets his inspiration from his work as a surgeon, books of other authors; and from his worldwide tours. It is therefore his sincere hope and trust that the general readership, worldwide, will find this book interesting...
