L'homéopathie est une thérapie consistant à donner au malade, à des doses très faibles, une substance qui provoque, chez une personne en bonne santé, des symptômes comparables à ceux du patient. Elle préconise donc la loi des similitudes, énoncée par Hippocrate: L'application des semblables fait passer de la maladie à la santé . L'homéopathie s'oppose à l'allopathie; elle a été inventée par Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843). L'efficacité de l'homéopathie est un sujet contesté; certains pensent qu'elle agit comme un placebo.Les remèdes homéopathiques sont d'origines diverses; ce ne sont pas forcément des plantes, même si elles sont nombreuses à servir aux préparations homéopathiques (Aconitum, Allium, Arnica...). Certains remèdes sont minéraux (Alumina, Ammonium carbonicum, Ammonium muriaticum...), d'autres d'origine animale (Ambra grisea, Apis mellifica, Blatta orientalis...). Les médicaments homéopathiques sont administrés sous forme de granules ou de gouttes, à extrêmement faibles concentrations, à des dilutions infinitésimales. En France, il y a environ 5.000 médecins homéopathes qui prescrivent de l'homéopathie à leurs patients; ces consultations de médecins généralistes peuvent donc permettre un remboursement par la sécurité sociale. L'homéopathie vétérinaire existe aussi pour les animaux.Il existe plusieurs courants dans l'homéopathie. Certains pensent qu'une prescription en homéopathie ne doit compter qu'un remède: ce sont les unicistes. D'autres utilisent plusieurs médicaments, en général de deux à cinq: ce sont les pluralistes. D'autres enfin préconisent des mélanges de nombreux médicaments: les complexistes.c'est nous certaines qui peuvent etre traitees par les remedes Homeopathiques.Contrairement à la médecine traditionnelle, l'homéopathie est considérée comme une médecine douce. Elle peut être pratiquée par les médecins généralistes, dont certains se spécialisent en homéopathie, ou encore les sages-femmes. Les bases ont été posées il y a 200 ans par le Dr Hahnemann, un médecin allemand, avec un principe: traiter les maladies par leurs semblables. Pour autant, l'homéopathie montre une efficacité chez environ 30 % des patients. Il est important de remarquer que l'administration d'un placébo, c'est-à-dire d'une substance neutre ne contenant aucun produit actif, a également une efficacité thérapeutique de 30 %. Il n'y a aucune étude clinique prouvant que le résultat d'un traitement homéopathique est supérieur à celui d'un médicament placebo. Ce taux de réussite correspond un médicament placebo qui ne contient donc pas de substance active.L'homéopathie bénéficie d'une autorisation de mise sur le marché, comme les autres médicaments mais elle n'est pas soumise à des études cliniques scientifiques pour évaluer son efficacité. Ce manque d'analyse scientifique est pointé du doigt par certains médecins qui remettent en cause son efficacité
