Wird Krisenmanagement effizient betrieben, können vor allem im Bezug auf den Terrorismus und dessen Folgen einige Krisen vermieden werden.Die Medien spielen bezogen auf das Krisenmanagement einer vom Terrorismus betroffenen Region insofern eine Rolle, da sie das Sprachrohr für die Region gerichtet an die Außenwelt und damit zu den Touristen, darstellen.Die Arbeit hat ergeben, dass die Medien als eine Art Katalysator für den Terrorismus betrachtet werden können. Die Medien publizieren terroristische Akte zu Hauptsendezeiten, somit wird ein bestimmter Stellenwert bei den Zuschauern erreicht.Im Laufe der Arbeit wurde eine Handlungsempfehlung erstellt, welche dem Zweck dienen soll Krisenmanagement gekonnt in Destinationen anzuwenden und die Medien im Hinblick auf positive Medienberichte einzubinden.Des Weiteren wurde in die Arbeit ein qualitatives Experteninterview mit Herrn Lüthie (Globetrotter) integriert, um die einzelnen Aussagen und Thesen zu unterlegen bzw. kritisch zu beleuchten.
