All of this time the Guardians watch and wait. The living souls rule the Universe, but the dark souls are gathering. About the Author: Peter Chapman lives in Wheathampstead, a rural village in Hertfordshire, England. I have worked in and visited over one hundred countries as a professional travel organiser and traveller to remote places. The places portrayed in the novel are scenes from my past and, as such, I hope that I have been faithful to my memory and to the countries concerned. This story is factual in terms of the historical characters and events, although I am not aware that Tom, Rosetta or Gomm ever existed, except in my imagination. The book has been carefully edited by my love of forty years, Carolyn, although I am inclined to meddle after the event and have doubtless introduced errors, which are entirely my own and for which I accept responsibility, as also for all the words in the book. We have two sons. Alex, who lives in Sheffield, a northern city in England. He is an Osteopath and fitness enthusiast. Stephen, who live in Hertfordshire. He is a geophysical surveyor and lover of everything outdoors. I love writing for its own sake rather than in any great expectation of reward, although the notification of a sale always brings a little surge of satisfaction. Today, I am painting. Tomorrow, I will be seeking a greater understanding of the piano, and perhaps the next day a little more reading of my favourite subject of Archaeology. Life can get very busy.
