About the Book

If ever there was a time, in the course of our nation's history, for Christians to be concerned about their freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and freedom of association, the time is now. In the midst of a nation in crisis stands a church in desperate need of revival and renewal. The time is now, for followers of Christ, to take their faith seriously, pursue revival, and call the nation back to God...before its too late. Dr. Robert Jeffress, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church, Dallas, and the author of "Twilight's Last Gleaming", encourages Christians everywhere to embrace the message of this book: "Ryan Dobbs has performed an invaluable service to the Body of Christ by writing "The Time Is Now". This compelling book reminds those of us in the church of our reason - our only reason - for being left on earth before Christ returns. I enthusiastically recommend this book as essential reading for every genuine disciple of Jesus Christ." Randy Alcorn, bestselling author of "Heaven" and "Why Prolife?", offers these words in his endorsement: "Ryan Dobbs writes with an urgency and passion I find refreshing. He's a young man who recognizes not just America's woes, but the underlying spiritual darkness and despondency within the church. It's encouraging to read the words of someone who seeks to honor Christ not by rewriting Scripture, but by submitting to it. Ryan takes sin seriously, and believes in the true Jesus, full of grace and truth, the only Savior who can transform our hearts and deliver people from Hell to Heaven. You don't have to agree with everything in this book in order to benefit from it. I'm glad to recommend 'The Time is Now'." Overall, "The Time Is Now" is a passionate plea to Christians in America, at this moment in history, to awaken and rise to the occasion with the Gospel, for such a time as this.
About the Author: A passionate communicator, Ryan's mission in life is to impact the world by making disciples and making a difference in the community and the nations. Ryan has served in various ministry capacities for over 10 years, as a youth pastor, worship leader, church planter, and as the director of international missions and local outreach endeavors. Ryan is the Founder and President of Discipleworks International, a ministry focused on inspiring, equipping and enabling the generations to engage, evangelize and impact the world and culture with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the demonstrated love of God. Since 2003, Ryan has led, coordinated, and participated in multiple ministry endeavors around the world, including projects in Mexico, Israel, Zambia, Guatemala, Sri Lanka, and the United States, working with various churches and ministries in the process. Ryan's current projects include the Revival in America Campaign, an initiative see another Great Awakening in the United States. Ryan's life experiences have uniquely positioned him to communicate truth in a practical, relevant, and life-changing way, to audiences of all ages. Ryan graduated from high school at the age of 15 and at the age of 16 began working in professional sports, first as a batboy, and then as an assistant equipment manager, for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball. For two years, Ryan was also an assistant equipment manager for the Dallas Stars, of the National Hockey League. He finally walked away from professional sports at the age of 21, after five years with two teams, in order to pursue his calling to ministry. A lifetime resident of the Dallas/Forth Worth area, Ryan currently resides in Southlake. In addition to ministry, Ryan is continuing his education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Liberty University. When not preaching or writing, Ryan enjoys spending time with family and friends, eating at new restaurants, traveling, reading, playing softball and flag football, working out, playing the piano and guitar, and writing music.
