About the Book

For over a hundred years ago, citizens of The Land of the Men saw the awakening of an empire now controlled by the third king Kennicot, along with the downfall of humanity when demons started roaming the earth abducting innocents. The Land of the Men was divided into four areas-The Frozen Land, The Desert, The Forest of Dragons, and The Royal Waters-with each region managing the demon raids differently due to the lack of support from the king. Each region is led by a Sub-Commander carrying out the king's orders to the citizens. Nevertheless, the Sub-Commander of the Desert rebelled against the king, which ended badly for the sub-commander and his daughter, Tara, whom became the king's prisoner and suffered undeserved punishments. However, imprisonment transformed Tara from a child to a young woman hell-bent on her freedom, and revenge. In her journey, Tara will fight for her revenge while trying to get a balance in her life, but she will have to face a new enemy, her own fears and weaknesses. In a land equally dominated by a vile king and heinous demons, the Sub-Commander of The Frozen Land, Andreas, continually attempts to keep his people alive. His struggle is heightened when he associates with a witch, known as an evil creature responsible for the creation of the demons, to defeat the demons. However, though the witch and Andreas were seemingly fighting the same forces, she also had ulterior motives. In this never-ending battle, a young boy, Omar, lost almost everything to the demons leaving him to escape the remains of his home with his mother and younger brother. For Omar, the situation forced him to age quickly on his odyssey with much to pursue. He will try desperately to get help from the witches, ignoring that he is one more piece in their plan. Throne of Demons is a journey of self-discovery, courage, and sacrifice commencing with the greatest rebellion The Land of the Men has ever contended.
About the Author: Edison G. Salazar has been writing since he was a young, imaginative child. He still remembers play sessions in which his toys transformed into characters. Since childhood, he has enjoyed creating settings and visualizing his characters reacting within them, bringing his stories to life. It is his ultimate dream to share his imaginary societies with the world. Growing up, he wrote hundreds of pages of stories, yet only recently deciphered his sophomoric tales into works of fiction. His first collection, Throne of Demons, will be published in February 2016. Throne of Demons is a compilation of human interactions in which his characters' individualities pave the way for them to deal with adversity in a world complete with demons, witches, warriors, and the like. A recent graduate in Genetics from Texas A&M University, in the interim he is pursuing his dream of publishing his novels. Originally from Ecuador, Edison currently lives in Houston, Texas with his family and multiple parakeets. His passions include reading, coffee, all types of weather, and environmental concerns. He hopes his books will reach international success to allow him to travel the world meeting thousands of delighted readers. Edison believes, "as long as one person enjoys my books, it was all worth the work."
