⦁Why does technological factor raise rental car service needs ?The automobile industry today is the most lucrative industry. Due to increase in disposable income in both rural and urban sector and availability of easy finance are the main drivers of high volume car segments. Proper understanding of consumer buying behavior will help the marketer to succeed in the market. All segments in Car industry were studied and found that buyer has different priority of behaviors in each segment, where as main driver for car purchase is disposable income. Value for money, safety and driving comforts top the rank in terms of customer requirement; where as perceived quality by customers mainly depends on brand image. This chapter also attempts to consolidate findings & suggestions to overcome present scenario of stagnancy in sales and cultivate future demand for automobile car market. Due to the growing economic difficulties and environmental concerns that many countries are facing nowadays, car-sharing services are gaining new members every month and they are enjoying wide public attention as an innovative transportation mode that could also contribute to solve pollution and congestion problems of several cities across the globe. The concept is that users are allowed to use a car when needed without having their own, thus providing a flexible alternative that meets different transport exigencies, reducing costs and the negative impacts of private car ownership. Aim was to unveil the characteristics of potential new car-sharing members and the most relevant factors for the growth of the service. For this scope data exploratory analyses of current travel habits, behaviors and attitudes towards the service of the interviewed were conducted. The survey included a significant amount of current members, so an examination of their behaviors is also presented. In general results showed different users' needs and a strong link between travel habits and propensity to forego the use of the private vehicle. The analyses also demonstrated the importance of more information among the users about the potential economic benefits of the service, given their poor awareness of the real costs related to the private car owning. Furthermore it turned out that wider availabilty of the vehicles, a better integration with public tranports in combination with an extensive use of Information Systems are fundamental for the growth of the service.Should You Consider Buying a Used Rental Car?
