Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Arbeit, Beruf, Ausbildung, Organisation, Note: 1, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Fast tagesaktuell und immer wieder neu werden in politischen Debatten die Problematiken der Bildungserfolge von Schülern mit Migrationshintergrund diskutiert. Die Ergebnisse zur Bildungsbeteiligung von Kindern mit Migrationshintergrund weisen erschreckende Tendenzen auf. Sie zeigen eine systematische Benachteiligung im Bildungssystem. Indikator für dieses Ergebnis ist die starke Präsenz der Kinder mit Migrationshintergrund in Sonder- und Hauptschulen, in Gymnasien hingegen sind sie deutlich unterrepräsentiert. Häufig verlassen sie die Schule ohne jeglichen Abschluss. Die Pisastudien von 2000 und 2003 deuten dies an, indem sie den Kindern aus zugewanderten Familien schlechtere Testergebnisse in der Lesekompetenz bescheinigen und zeigen, dass sie Klassen öfter wiederholen müssen. Seit Pisa und anderen scheint es, als würden Politiker verzweifelt umherirren, um das Bildungssystem zu "verschlimmbessern". Kaum ein Schuljahr vergeht, ohne dass gravierende Veränderungen im Schulsystem für neuen Gesprächsstoff sorgen. Beispiele hierfür sind G9 oder G8+, Werkrealschule und mit dem Machtwechsel in Baden - Württemberg kommt nun auch noch ein Konzept der Gesamtschule hinzu. Ein unglaublich großes Netz an Möglichkeiten, welches die Frage aufdrängt, ob hier noch sowohl SchülerInnen als auch Eltern einen Überblick haben, um die passgenaue Schule zu finden?! Doch ist dies der wirkliche Grund für die vermeintlich schlechten Bildungserfolge von SchülernInnen mit Migrationshintergrund? Frau Dr. Heike Diefenbach, eine Soziologin und Ethnologin, die als Expertin in Sachen Migration bezeichnet wird, hat in einer ihrer Veröffentlichungen einen Versuch unternommen, theoretische Erklärungen für die Bildungsnachteile von SchülerInnen mit Migrationshintergrund darzustellen.
