About The Authors
Dr. D. C. Dutta is a gynaecologist, obstetrician, and the author of several books on gynaecology. Other books by Dr. D. C. Dutta are Textbook Of Obstetrics, A Guide To Clinical Obstetrics And Gynaecology, and Emergencies In Manipulative And Operative Obstetrics. Born in Konwarpur, in the Burdwan district, West Bengal, Dr. D. C. Dutta obtained his MBBS degree from the University of Calcutta in 1954. Later, he also got his Master’s degree in gynaecology and obstetrics from the same university. Initially, he worked in the department of anatomy at Medical College in Calcutta, as a demonstrator. He also worked as a gynaecologist at different hospitals in Bengal.
Dr. Hiralal Konar is an obstetrician and gynaecologist. Born in Burdwan, West Bengal, Dr. Hiralal Konar is a professor at the Calcutta National Medical College Hospital, Kolkata.
