About the Author: If there is a Victor Appleton II out there, he had nothing to do with the five series of Tom Swift books other than to be a pseudonym for a group of professional authors who wrote the books for hire by The Stratemeyer Syndicate, a publisher. Thomas Hudson picked up the mantle of authorship in 2009 with this brand new series that spans, as of the fall of 2016, 19 novels with another 5 or more planned, nearly the same number of collections of novellas about the inventions and people in the Swift organization, and a trio of novels in a Tom Swift mini-saga he co-wrote with another author.
